After Sting, Julian Lennon or Tom Odell, it’s Bono’s turn to sing in the name of the freedom of the Ukrainian people. Shed light on her moving and hopeful performance in these uncertain times.
More than two months after the start of the Russian military offensive, the fighting continues. In this violent war context, initiatives in support of Ukrainians are increasing. The latest example, this Sunday, May 8, 2022, featured the well-known Irish rocker Bono giving a surprise concert at the Khreshchatyk metro station in Kiev. By his side the second star of the group U2, The Edge. In the audience dozens of men, women and children have become accustomed to taking refuge to protect themselves from the bombing.
