Wearing a mouth cap indoors is no longer mandatory from February 28th

The mask will no longer be mandatory from February 28 in closed places subject to the vaccination pass, with the exception of transport, the health ministry said Friday, focusing on the “improvement of the health situation”.

“The vaccine pass allows us, in a context where epidemic pressures have been greatly reduced, and as we have already done before this wave, to lift the obligation to wear a mask in institutions open to the public. †

The wearing of a mask, which was no longer compulsory outside the home since February 2, will therefore no longer be the case “in other closed places subject to the vaccination pass”, ie establishments dedicated to the activities of leisure, restaurants, drinking establishments , scholarships…

But the mask “are kept in transport and locked places that are not subject to the vaccination pass”the ministry said in a press release.

Another reduction in sight for this end of the month: the screening system for people who have had contact with a person who tested positive. “Contacts only need to perform one test (self-test or antigen test or RT-PCR test) on D2 (i.e., two days after receiving information that they had contact with a person tested positive) instead of three tests today ( on D0, D2 and D4)”the ministry said.
