In his house of 15 m2, Pedro Oliveira lacks for nothing. This small house, designed by the Charente Habitat Jeunes association, is located a few kilometers from La Rochefoucault in the Charente and aims to allow students to work or train in the countryside. Within two years, the organization hopes to be able to offer about fifteen in this area.
“It feels good to say we live in a tiny house”† With a smile on his face, Pedro, a student of Brazilian descent, proudly gives a tour of the owner. It must be said that his pocket house, installed on a common plot of the town of Taponnat-Fleurignac, has everything of a great. The Tiny House of Charente Habitat Jeune is intended for young people from 16 to 30 years old with apprenticeship, training, CDD, CDI, student… A small accessible house, all costs included (water, electricity, internet, insurance) for barely more than 400 euros. There is even an electric bicycle for the tenant!
