Vegan shoe brand Minuit sur Terre has teamed up with PETA to launch a new pair of durable and supportive sneakers. The so-called “Virevolte Lapins” are white and embroidered with a rabbit motif, a reference to the symbol of the association for the protection of animals. They are completely vegan, made in Portugal and designed with an ecologically sound material made from grains. The sole is made from 70% recycled rubber and the laces are made from recycled plastic bottles.
The sneakers are available in women’s and children’s models on the Minuit sur Terre website. For every pair sold, $5 will be donated to PETA. Launched in 2017, the leather goods and vegan shoes brand collaborates every season with an association to offer solidarity and original products. “Partnering with PETA was a heart and soul, as we share the same values when it comes to animal protection”, explains Marie Viard-Klein, founder of the brand. The latter also won the 2021 “Vegan Entrepreneur Award” presented by PETA.
