Germany’s largest dairy cooperative launches vegan desserts

Small revolution in the dairy industry. Germany’s largest dairy cooperative, DMK, has announced it will expand to vegan alternatives. With her MILRAM brand, she has just presented a new range of 100% vegan oat-based desserts.

Among the novelties are two pudding-style desserts, in vanilla and chocolate versions. They are prepared with natural bourbon vanilla and cocoa certified by the Rainforest Alliance respectively. DMK clarifies that they contain no preservatives, flavor enhancers or artificial flavors and that their ingredient list is short. Another brand classic that comes in a plant-based version: a “rice pudding” style dessert, also prepared with oats. Finally, MILRAM also offers a new cocoa-flavoured vegetable drink.

Faced with the huge growth in sales of vegan desserts in Germany, DMK wants to strengthen its offer in this niche by betting on oats, which are often neglected in favor of soy. The company, which employs more than 7,500 people, said more vegan products will arrive in the first quarter of next year.

And you, are you more of a vanilla team or a chocolate team for your desserts?
