Carrefour Market introduces 4 hours of silence a day to better accommodate its autistic customers

A year after the launch of its “quiet hours” at the rate of two hours a week (every Monday between 2 pm and 3 pm), Carrefour announces that it is expanding its system. “The quiet hour now extends to 4 hours a day in all Carrefour Market stores”announced the distributor on May 3 on his LinkedIn profile. “Sound and light are muted to welcome our customers with an autism disorder or who prefer a quiet atmosphere to do their shopping in peace”we can read in this message.

The new timetables to be taken into account are therefore: every day from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., from 1 to 3 p.m. and from 4 to 5 p.m.† If the initiative is beneficial and widely welcomed, internet users will ask the French distributor to extend its system to peak hours, ie office hours, so that all customers can take advantage of this peace of mind while shopping.

And you, would you like Carrefour to completely generalize its silent hours system?
