I enjoyed working with the team at my store, but corporate never gave us enough hours to complete our work to company standards. The pay was pretty awful, too.
Productive and a nice place to work
Lots of merchandise and items for all seasons and holidays of all ages. Lots to see, big store. Always stocked. Very fast paced unloading merchandise off trucks,, packages etc..replenishing also fast paced. On the down side... all staff always being micro managed, little uncomfortable. Pay is low and No room for advancement.

Working at Michael’s was fun and rewarding. Customers were almost always kind and respectful, and management was always ready to stand with their employees. Both cashiering and sales floor work gave me an opportunity to need interesting people and help people put together cool projects. Overall spending time there was relaxing and enjoyable.

Once they finally fired the weird manager who was creeping on a ton of young girls and not doing his job at all, the management is 5/5. Super nice people all around and the schedule is pretty flexible, just be very clear about your availability.

I took a glued-together puzzle and my own frame to have a mat cut for it and have it assembled. I had all the clips and foam board with the frame. I think I was charged for my own frame. I was charged $172.96. I said I thought that was a lot since I brought my own frame. He didn’t say anything so I paid for it.

I went to Michaels yesterday for a paper cake box. I saw the box I wanted online the advertised price was $1.49. At the store the price on the rack was $1.49 but when it was scanned at the register the price was $2.99. I won't return to Michaels again!

Vestal, New York Michaels store...I am at Michaels at least once a week. For the past 2-3 MONTHS, they are out of stock on almost everything I am there to get. I follow a lot of Michaels jewlery classes and attempt to purchase what I need to never find it there because they are sold out. Michaels use to be my favorite store to shop.

Missing hours on paycheck
So i’m often asked to stay late or come in early at work. They never put me in the system to clock in, just tell me to write it down on a clipboard. Well on payday last friday, my check was short 14 hours. I texted my manager on friday and she fixed it 2 days later but has no idea when i’ll get the money.
