It’s no secret anymore: British actor and director Ricky Gervais is indeed vegan. For years, mystery hovered over the diet of this staunch defender of the animal cause. Thanks to a series of controversial questions and answers in the Tonight Show, the actor confided in his choices.
The director’s humor of After Life and The Office (UK version) is well established. And it took him a lot of effort to participate in the absurd debate launched on the set of American presenter Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show last week.
The director started by answering a rather crude question about the identity of his favorite Beatle. But it quickly became difficult with the following question:
“If you were a cannibal, who would you eat? [des Beatles] ? »
” I will not do it “Ricky Gervais replied.
Fallon laughed: ‘And Paul McCartney? He is vegan. »
“Well, it doesn’t matter if you eat someone who is vegan, you eat meat, right? » the guest replied. The duo eventually continued the comedic debate before Gervais concluded with: “Well, I’d rather not eat anyone!” »
After years of not eating meat, the actor and animal advocate has therefore revealed that he is vegan. Like other celebrities, therefore, he did not hesitate to take advantage of his interview to promote his choice, which may inspire some viewers.
