Storyline
Homer discovers that he has an illegitimate half-brother who is now the very successful car manufacturer Herb Powell. The Simpsons are invited to stay at Herb's mansion and, considering Homer to be an average American and typical consumer, Herb asks him to design a new car for the company.
Did you know
Some fans were upset with the sad ending of the episode, and as a result the producers decided to write a sequel in which Herb would be given a kinder fate. The resulting episode, Brother, Can You Spare Two Dimes? (1992), aired at the end of the third season.
