Can you leave dash speakers connected?
As far as leaving the dash speakers connected , the output of your doors will be far greater than the dash speakers so you'd either be limiting the doors to balance it out or drowning out the dash speakers. In either case the end result is less than desirable.
Can you amplify dash speakers?
You could amplify the dash speakers also for staging purposes. The chimes won't be bad if you set gains properly. Everybody that complains they're super loud is because they have the gain set so half volume on the radio is full output before clipping. I would use one of those Audio Control pieces wired properly for what you're trying to achieve and amplify the front doors and dash speakers. If you find you want to replace those dash speakers with something better, I have something for that too.
