What is the material used in Wonderboard?
The materials in WonderBoard include Portland cement and strands of fiberglass reinforcement. The manufacturer recommends cutting it by scoring it with a knife and breaking it, just as you would cut drywall, but you can also cut it with a circular saw.
How many sheets are in Wonderboard?
WonderBoard comes in three-by-six sheets. It's best to install as many full sheets as possible before you start cutting sheets to fill gaps. When installing on a plywood subfloor, stagger the seams and do not align the edges of the sheets with the plywood joints. When installing on the wall, the edges of the sheets must overlap the studs.
Is Wonderboard a moisture barrier?
WonderBoard is designed for use in wet places, but it isn't a moisture barrier.
