The sriracha you can buy in the grocery store includes sugar (in one form or another) and maybe another off-plan ingredient. You can find compliant hot sauces, however. I did an audit of hot sauces at Whole Foods one day and found 3 compliant hot sauces out of about 25 choices.

I've tried to find compliant sriracha but haven't had any luck: every brand I see has sugar in it. You could try making nonnompaleo's version which is sweetened with a date.

Nomnompaleo's version, to me, is better than what you can buy at the store. Unfortunately, red jalapenos are currently $6/lb in my area so making gallons of it like I want to is cost-prohibitive. We're waiting for when they go on sale for $1/lb at the Latin markets. Then we'll have a sriracha party.
