Self conscious while running

Hello all! I’m a beginner that is over weight. I’ve lost 30lbs and have about 40 more to go. Obviously, I’m not graceful and I plod along in my runs. While on a popular trail, real runners fly past me and they look like gazelles. No body fat, perfect form and fast. I know I shouldn’t care what anyone thinks of me but I can’t help but feel bad.

Has anyone ever had a kind of disassociation from your body while running?

This only happened to me once or twice in thousands of miles of running per year over the last 6-7 years. It was kind of like how you are separate from your car but you are in control of the car... Like me and my body were not one in the same. There was my 'self' and my 'body' was just a vehicle.
