Hi folks, some advice please. What expanding foam filler could I use that will set dry and non sticky or tacky, so that I can trim off the excess with a knife or other implement?
Mr GrimNasty Active Member
Apply it sparingly, build up in layers if necessary. If any surfaces are porous - damp down before applying but don't flood! Works best in warm humid weather. Leave it at least a day before trimming - a week in winter.

Thank you sim, that sounds good to me. I've got my stuff now and I chose to use the "hand" applied type aerosol (basically to save the cost of the gun)! However, I'm now thinking that if I don't do all of the job in one go, the stuff will set in the application nozzle/tube and block it up. Any advice please on this aspect of working with the foam?
