Be prepared to drive drive drive to the same places over and over. Unrealistic time schedule to keep delivering parts from Fort Scott to Lamar and South. You are not even allowed a drink in the driving area

Strong emphasis on meeting the needs of walk-in customers as well as commercial repair shops
Simply a great place to work. I enjoyed going to work every day. I enjoy driving and a typical day would entail driving 100 to 150 miles. It was challenging to get to know where everything was in the warehouse when there was 1,000s of parts but rewarding when you pulled parts and delivered to a customer in just a few minutes.
Pay is extremely low
As a retired man I’m fortunate to have a job and what I do is extremely easy, however the pay is extremely low and the expectations are much too high for this.

Management doesn't care about employees! They only care about profits! They didn't give employees yearly raises during covid and suspended all vacation time/pay. They made weekends/10hour shifts mandatory while actively NOT hiring new people and overworking those who do show up.

In all reality it's favoritism
Definitely favoritism. If the manager truly doesn't like you, he'll find a way to get rid of you. DOES NOT matter if you're "good employee". An open honest opinion is truly not welcomed, especially if it's contradictory to somebody else's.
Mostly bad
Manager thinks the store revolves around them. Morale is very low, understaffed so Mgr can get all the morning sales . Employees singled out daily ! It’s truly sucks having to walk in the door every morning 😡
Good place to start
When I first started everything seemed great and happy. After a few weeks I was able to see the ugly side of this industry. Managers arguing with employees about how to do things managers being replaced with other managers that have no idea what’s going on in their store just like the previous manager.
Fun environment
You can really get advanced into high positions. Always better opportunities. If only they can pay their employees a little better since ive seen better pay compare to opposing stores.

Why do parts stores charge core deposits?
There are places that buy them, but I can't imagine an ethical establishment would do this, since most would certainly have to be stolen, because parts stores charge core charges to make sure you bring back your old battery.
Can a BMS absorb the cost of a battery?
The extra cost of the start/stop system can absorb the cost of a required BMS; standard vehicles generally cannot . If more extensive data on a battery is needed, dealers/retailers generally have more expensive devices that can give a more definitive assessment of battery health.
