Steering is in a bind were wireless key cannot activate. Move steering wheel to the left and right while trying to start. I had the same problem and this is what the Nissan dealership told me to do. I't worked like a dream. Hopped this helped

P1446 reads, manufacturer control auxiliary emission controls. Not positive but a look at the fuel cap ( see if it is twisting and securing correctly), check the vacuum lines in the engine compartment (for damage), could be related to the evap. system.
