use the pressure test port on the top of the engine, it is on the fuel rail that supplies fuel to the injectors, looks like a tire valve, will have a plastic cap on it.

Did you check the voltage to the pump to insure it was getting full power? Check the fuel pressure regulator? Also take a manual fuel pressure reading. A faulty crank sensor will also cause a no start condition.

You need to check fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. The regulator is a good guess but the fuel pump can also be letting fuel pressure drop. Once fuel pressure drops on a hot engine the fuel in the fuel rail will boil and essentially be a vapor lock condition.

It is in the tank and the tank has to be removed to do this. You want the gas empty as possible and then remove the fuel filler hose and the retaining straps from the tank. It will drop down after the straps are off. Then disconnect the electrical and fuel line connections.

It's the fuel pump. Change it and the fuel filter. I doubt if any of the other items are faulty.

Ok, just went to the dealer and found out from the parts dept. that the fuel pressure regulator on this truck is part of the fuel pump... $$$$

Step 1 – Disconnect The Vacuum Line
- Allow the truck's engine to fully cool down before working under the hood.
- The fuel pressure regulator is located on the driver's side of the engine. Disconnect the vacuum line on top of the regulator by firmly pulling it up and off.
Step 2 – Remove Retaining Clamp
- Slightly pry out the regulator clamp with a flat head screwdriver.
- Use your hand to pull up on the clamp and remove it from the regulator.
Step 3 – Remove The Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Place shop rags underneath the regulator as a little bit of fuel will spill out.
- To remove the regulator, firmly hold onto it from both sides and pull it back. It should pop right out.
Step 4 – Install The New Fuel Pressure Regulator
- The new regulator should come with new O-rings and a new metal screen. 1. Push the new regulator into place, and make sure the vacuum line port is facing up. 2. Re-install the regulator clamp. 3. Then reattach the vacuum line to the port on the regulator.
