Where is Seagram vodka made?
Behind every drop of Seagram’s Vodka is a story that is 100% American made. Our vodka begins with grain proudly grown in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and processed in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. At our Lawrenceburg distillery, the grain is grinded, or “mashed”, and goes through batch fermentation, which results in enough fermented mash to run the first distillation charge. After that, yeast is added, and the mixture is allowed to ferment for 2-3 days. From there, the mash is distilled and pushed through a column still, which removes any non-alcohol molecules that were introduced during fermentation.
What is added to distillate after fifth distillation?
After the fifth distillation, water is added to the distillate to reach the bottling proof. Like our grain, the water we use is sourced locally and undergoes a reverse osmosis purification process before it is used in production.
