Is there a boardwalk at LBI?

Don't be fooled, the fact that there is no "boardwalk" at LBI and Ship Bottom doesn t mean there's nothing to do. LBI is more of a beach town than it is a beach destination, and as a result, the beach is secluded and purposeful. No distractions, no arcades, no bright lights, no soft pretzels or salt water taffy. None of what you would expect from a typical Jersey shore locale like AC, Wildwood, or Seaside Heights. If you visit here, just prepare for miles and miles of lime green sand dunes wafting in the breeze, bright blue aquamarine water teaming with wildlife, and hours of family fun on a secluded beach. But that doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. Just two short blocks from the beach you'll find quaint eateries and shops, all with a uniquely dynamic and distinguished beach town feel. If you need to pack an entire summer worth of fun into one beach visit, then head to AC or Wildwood and you'll get the beach in a blender. but if you have time to savor a true beach getaway, LBI and Ship Bottom Beach is your place. my new fave on the Jersey shore.
