How can I Make my Fall decorations look like fall?
Adding a few fall leaves and some tiny faux pumpkins to a tiered tray is all it takes to hint at the season soon to come. Adding a few faux leaves that look like they are starting to show their fall color is a beginning.
When do you put up your Christmas decorations?
I usually do some fall decorations (pumpkins, cornstalks, pansies, etc., etc., etc.) in mid to late October. They'll take me through Thanksgiving and I put up Christmas stuff soon after that.
How do you decorate your barn in the fall?
We have a pole barn with a firepit up at the edge of the woods, and that's where I do ALL the fall decorating. We have pumpkins, baskets of mums, cornstalks, bales of hay and pinestraw, etc. I have a great time doing it and we have a big hoedown for the neighbourhood in October or early November.

Isn’t that an interesting question? I am seeing so many people on Instagram putting their toes into the water, so to speak, wondering when to start decorating for fall. Have you begun? I like to tiptoe into fall decorating, not at all like when I jump in headfirst to Christmas decorating.

Until mid to late September I keep things a little bit neutral, not bringing in the orange fall leaves and pumpkins until later when decorating for fall.
Styling a tiered tray
Fragrance is such a a great way to summon up all of the fall feels. I can light this Apple Pickin’ candle and close my eyes and know that fall will soon be arriving (well, at least to some parts of the country)!

Last year I decorated for fall about mid September but now wondering if that was too early. When do you decorate for fall? I don't decorate for Halloween just keep everything fall themed, fall colors so it stays up till I decorate for Christmas.

I don't really do this, as my colors are pretty much browns and oranges anyway. I buy seasonal flowers and fruits, but I'm not one for dried leaves, etc. When my kids were little, I did more of this, but thank heavens, they're too old for it now.
