1. Light Oak

When we were researching flooring options for mahogany kitchen cabinets, we were actually shocked that oak was high up on the list. However, when you look at how pretty this looks, it’s easy to see why so many people love this pairing. The golden tones of most oak (aside from honey oak, which is obnoxious) work beautifully with the red of mahogany.

2. White Tile

As we all know, cabinets are not just a thing in kitchens. They’re also a bathroom thing, especially in master bathrooms. Darker mahogany wood stains tend to be pretty demanding. While they were traditionally paired with red Persian rugs, the new vanguard of designers are looking towards white tile as the “it” flooring.

3. Beige Tile

In the world of design, I’ve noticed that very few colors are as underappreciated as beige. Beige is a color that works with almost every home, especially when it comes to color palettes that would be difficult to deal with otherwise. In this case, beige offers a nice way to open up a home while keeping things contemporary.

4. Mahogany Wood

Cream tiles have been a major part of contemporary kitchen design for at least 30 years. So, I guess you could call them a classic. Much like white and beige, this flooring option has a certain neutrality that makes it contrast the darkness of mahogany. It also helps keep light reflecting off the floor, which gives you an overall brighter home.

8. Patchwork Stone Tile

If there is one reason to fall in love with mahogany wood, it’s the way that it has that magical power to make any home look like it’s part of a castle. This is especially true if you channel your inner medieval king or queen when it comes to flooring.
