How many batteries does the Verizon PowerReserve have?
With 12 fresh D-Cell or “flashlight” batteries, the PowerReserve provides at least 24 hours of backup power for basic voice service, including 911 dialing, in the event of a power outage. Note: The Verizon technician will be able to tell you during installation if your services of your equipment is compatible with PowerReserve.
Does Verizon power reserve work with power outages?
Verizon will not provide credits and is not liable for interruptions of service due to commercial power outages. The PowerReserve device will not power cordless phones, medical devices, home alarm/fire systems, your Fios Internet or TV service, or any other peripheral devices.

Is Fios battery necessary?
The battery is only needed to provide backup power for telephone service. If you unplug the BBU from 110V AC and there is no working battery installed, the ONT will shut down and all FiOS services will stop. In your case, you want to unplug the battery from the BBU but don't unplug the BBU from the wall.
How long does Verizon Fios battery backup last?
Your Optical Network Terminal (ONT) is installed with a separate Battery Backup Unit (BBU). When a fully charged 12-volt battery is installed in the BBU, you will have up to 8 hours of backup power for basic voice service, including calls to 911.

Can I remove my Fios battery?

What is the Verizon box in my basement?
The box in your basement is for your telephone (according to your own words). It is not for FiOS TV and Internet. The box across the street is for FiOS TV and Internet (according to your own words).
How do I change the battery in my Verizon FIOS box?
Replacing the battery is easy. Find the BBU, open the battery door, slide out the old battery, unplug it, plug in the new battery, slide it in, close the door. Be sure to pay attention to the polarity (red to red, black to black.) Since you don't care about phone only backup, get Verizon to remove the BBU.

How do you stop an ONT beeping?
There are many ways to stop your ONT battery beeping. The first is the easiest: just press and hold the “silence battery” button for 3 seconds! That's it, problem solved… for 24 hours. The beeping will resume and the next day, exactly on schedule.
Gigabit plan
I have the gigabit plan and I know that I won’t ever get to “a gigabit” but I have the iPhone 12 and have the G3100 router but the most I get is 500mbps. I did a Verizon speed test and router to network I can get 854 mbps. Anything I can do or configure in the router?
4K Channels
Will there ever be steady content on the 4K channels? I know football has feeds capable of broadcasting in 4K, so why don't they every week? They used to broadcast Thursday nights and I think Monday nights. Since Covid hit, there only seems to be 1 college football game broadcast in the afternoon on Saturdays. Why is this?
FiOS Requirements
In NJ and currently have FiOS gigabit and TV. Building a new house and have had CAT6 run throughout the house but not sure if I need to run coax as well for FiOS installation, help before contractor closes walls!
Fios extender blinking only at night
The extender led blinks yellow, but only at night. The next morning, it’s perfectly fine. Is this normal?
Need help with the Fios One main VMS and Mini
I've had Fios gigabit for a couple years now and it's extremely rare to have an issue with it. I just added the TV though because I wanted some variety and I have time to actually watch it now. I picked up 1 main and 1 mini at the local store, plugged them in and attempted to set them up via the coax in the house.
Turning G1100 into an Wireless Access Point
Decided to go with a netgate router/firewall. Anyone have any experience with turning the G1100 into just a wireless access point, and have any tips/things i should know about before turning mine into just a wireless access point?
G3100 Router
I have two routers, am I able to use one as a regular router and hook up the second router to be used as an extender…? Or I need to purchase the actual extender from Verizon in order to expand my coverage?
