Paverpol is a water-based, environmentally-friendly fluid that hardens fabric. Its original color is white, but it will dry as transparent in a few hours. (In past years, the Paverpol company has also made this material in bronze, grey, and black.)

Can paverpol be painted?
In Paverpol, dipped natural materials are fire retardant. For a sculpture meant to be placed outside, preferably use weather-resistant paint. This can be acrylic or oil paint. Using outdoor paint it is not necessary to varnish the object.
How do you use paverpol Art Stone?
Paverpol Art Stone can be used in two different ways. You can use the powder to give your sculptures a stone-like finish, or you can use it to make self-hardening modeling clay. To give your sculpture a stone-like appearance, just sprinkle the powder onto a wet layer of Paverpol to your desired stony appearance.

All Powertex hardener colours are water resistant, except for the transparent one. Use Easy Varnish to make the Transparent Powertex waterproof and to protect the pigments you used. The wax in this water-based, non-toxic Varnish makes your artwork water and weather proof.
Does Powertex stick to plastic?
Powertex does not stick to plastic so it can be washed out and used again.
How long does Powertex take to dry?
Powertex takes about 2 weeks to cure although it will be dry to the touch within an hour or two. Old T-Shirts, sheets, kiddie clothes and especially absorbent fabrics are excellent for Powertex. If you want to make a garden statue, no problem. Just varnish once dry and it will remain as is, for many years to come.

Does Powertex peel off plastic?
Yes, there are some things it doesn’t do well. Powertex will peel off plastic but there are ways around that for your project. Knowing that it doesn’t adhere well to plastic can be used to your advantage, by using plastic tools for example. Powertex is a fabric hardener so it might not wash out of your clothes either!
