The Brontosaurus has the highest berry gathering ability of all the dinosaurs. It’s at the top choice for any player. All you have to do is stand near large vegetation with plenty of berry resources, attack, and you’ll scoop those up within a few seconds. It’s even better when you place a saddle on its back to carry more resources, even though its base carrying weight is exactly what players need from the start. There’s a lot to appreciate about the Brontosaurus, and we cannot recommend it enough. Just make sure to increase its speed and weight to have it move around the map more quickly.

Can Brontos nerfed?

Brontos have been nerfed recently...they still get a lot of berries, but their attack box ends at their feet, so if they're on any kind of slope downwards they miss all the bushes completely.#N#Tbh I just use an ankylo to get berries. It's not as effective as some others, but it's reasonably fast moving compared to, say, a stego. And it means you don't have to maintain a separate berry gatherer - one less mouth to feed. You just might have to have one of your weight dinos following behind to transfer the berries over once in a while, since anky weight isn't the best.

Using a dedicated berry gatherer means having to feed it won't be a problem though, since they'll have so many other berries that they'll feed all their herbivores several times over and still throw away stacks of berries. Long term, I'd say put in a number of crop plots for your narcotics needs.

Brontosaurus

While time consuming to tame, the Brontosaurus is the best berry-gatherer in Ark Survival Evolved and has the highest berry gathering ability of all the dinosaurs you can tame. All you need to do is to get to a high enough level to get a saddle for the brontosaurus.

Stegosaurus

The stegosaurus is versatile in the sense that it can change its plating orientation according to the player’s preference, from the heavy plate, to the hardened plate, and the sharpened plate.

Triceratops

Although the Stegosaurus can land you more berries, the Triceratops have faster movements. The Triceratops, also referred to as “Trikes”, is one of the most preferred mounts used for berry-gathering by players.

Therizinosaurus

Also another great dino that can be used for harvesting Narcoberries. Although it is a bit difficult to tame than Trikes, it is still an excellent harvester. The Therizinosaurus uses its claw to dig up harvests or attack.

Equus

Taming an Equus allows you to harvest berries fast very early on in the game, unlike the Brontosaurus, which can be obtained much later in the game. Not only does it have a decent berry farming ratio but also has fast movements.
