Your co-workers are some of the best people you will meet and make even your worst days tolerable. The pay is pretty great as well. Unfortunately, the management and horrible work/life balance offset any benefits.

Being a team member is exhausting. You gotta be on your toes most of the time. You make great friends along the way but they are struggling with you.
Best First Job
I have worked with Target for almost 3 years through highschool and college. I have always appreciated the flexible schedule. However, it is hard to get the hours that you want and management is a complete toss-up.
Productive and fun work place
I loved to work at Target. My supervisor was excellent and my team was the best. The only reason I left Target was because I could not survive working 16-20 hours a week. Besides that, great company to work for!
Not what I expected
The specific store I worked at in Silverdale had a good community of general merchandisers but the leadership showed favoritism and abuse of power. There is an unreasonable expectation for night shift workers and day shift is not held to any expectation.
A solid entry-level workplace, really depends on the management
The entry $15 pay is fair for most departments, but depending on where you work in Target the expectations can be very unreasonable. The market (grocery) department in particular isn't given the resources needed to be properly run.
Easy job with competitive pay
The job is pretty straightforward and easy to do after being trained. They paid me a dollar over minimum. The worst part is dealing with customers, especially the store I was at. They would constantly steal even when management finally hired on police to assist in store security.

Not a great place to work
Absurdly large workloads for the limited time and pay that are given. They dump everything on the seasonal employees, leaving the rest of the employees struggling for consistent hours (which is unfair and stressful for both parties). Nobody seems happy, everyone is stressed no matter what shift it is.
