It certainly has a higher bioavailability when smoked. But even if it did not I was not asking which was the higher bioavailability. Sometimes smoking just give one a better high.

From my experience, I've never felt anything when smoking any form of oxycodone. That doesn't mean that it doesn't work, it's possible that my tolerance was too high to feel the amount that I had smoked when the people I was with were feeling great.

The point I am trying to make is that when people talk about smoking oxy's they are referring to talking a pill, crushing it up, putting it on foil, and heating the foil with a lighter while sucking up the fumes with a straw (chasing the dragon), this is not freebasing by the way as many people call it.

Cocaine is a weakly alkaline compound (an " alkaloid "), and can therefore combine with acidic compounds to form various salts. Oxycodone does not do this and is already in it's "freebase" form in the medication. Morphine, on the other hand, exists as a salt, most commonly morphine sulfate.

You doesn't need to do anything special to smoke it. If you have the old OC 80s or anything similar all that needs to be done is take the coating off with a damp towel and rub it off. Break it in half (or quarters), put it on the foil and then light it from the bottom and suck up the smoke.
