You will need to enjoy retail, customers, and working holidays and weekends
If you like working with customers, you will do great but be prepared to work holidays and weekends as this is retail. Also be prepared that no matter how much you excel at your job there is not much room for growth within the company.
Did not like the changing schedule each week
The manager made it a fun place to work although there were many people that quit every few weeks. I thought it was pretty good overall but the pay could’ve been alittle better.

CVS is*not a place to work for if you are easily intimidated. You have to fight for basic necessities such as cleaning supplies and HR to pay attention to ethics reports on bosses that are liars to hours on the schedule to earn a living.
A mental, emotional, and physical taxing job
CVS is a very a regressive job. Most of their expectations and policies are outdated and doesn’t coincide with how employees should be treated in a work place. The pay and benefits are subpar. Poor management. Greedy district leaders. Employee welfare never considered.

Can be fun depending on who you're working with. I'm lucky enough to have a good management team. Typical day is do truck and take care of customers, clean up the store, make sure everything is working properly. Just like any retail place there are certain people that will make you want to quit but don't let that discourage from working there.
Typical Drug Retail environment
Run by an upper management group with MBAs and no actual retail experience or knowledge of what actually happens inside a store. Very little support from local district management, especially during current times of the pandemic and filling empty positions. Tons of red tape and stupid metrics that don't actually reflect store health.
Great company to work for
The benefits are awesome the company is really great I just can't do Pharmacy so I can't advance but awesome company to work for! I have been with cvs for 6 years I would love to retire with this company.
Work environment
The cvs (longs drugs) located at 16-529 Keaau in hawaii on the Big island is the worst place to work for. It's a place loaded with drama and gossip. Not to mention management treats people terribly.
