Fun job with lots of hours
I worked at a location that rented 25-30 cars per day. This job is allot of fun and you work about 55 hours a week. So if you like to work, this is a great job. The only downside is the turn over rate is extremely high. The pay is extremely low and they don't want to promote. They expect lots of vehicle coverage sales.
Promotions are veeery slowwww
I was told in the beginning there would be lots of raises, which was completely untrue.
No Job Security!
If you're looking for a place with stability this is not the place to work. Management was pretty good but very cut-throat. The training for employees was not very good either

I have six years working in this company and all the staff are friendly and helpful
For me it is the best company to increase your knowledge and a very good work experience. A very good team work, all asistance online to help and make your job better. All support from the team management.
lots of work, never know what the day is going to be like
Typically reservations are overbooked, website lets anyone book anything. pay isn't great, commission has potential for being good if you work in higher end location. They like to have employees work 6 days a week, and seldom have more than 2 counter reps per store regardless of volume of reservations.
Slimey upper management and poor job prep
The manager trainee position is just a better name for sales associate. The beginning length of your program is behind a counter renting cars and selling "insurance coverage". Depending on location your day will be completely filled with work. Both locations I worked were 7am starts to 6pm ending unless there were customers.
Needs improvement
Working here was the worst experience. The management is unprepared to be in charge. The turnover ratio is unacceptable. You can be terminated without notification or consideration. The hours are long, the customers are rude. Your work responsibilities change daily, without notification or a heads up.
Horrible company
Let’s start off with the good because this certainly won’t take long; my coworkers and my boss are great people. That’s about it for the good. The company overall is horrible. There’s so much disconnect from the corporate side of this company to the individual branches.
Terrible
I worked there for 4 months and my boss quit at month 2. I was then tasked to run an entire store by myself and they refused to pay more. The workdays are somewhat ok if they provide you with enough cars. coming out of chapter 11 they are being as cheap as possible
Fun place to work. Hidden sales requirements not explained until after hired
This place is a great place to work. People are great. Easy to learn and advance. ***Warning*** There is a sale quota. They don't tell you until after your hired. If you don't make you sales quota, they will fire you after 9 months. Of course they will tell you it's easy but don't let them kid you.
Cons
Sales quota, Rude customers, and training could use a bit of touch up.
Pretty good very high stress
Alot of stress, 11 hour days .rarely get a lunch break because it is so busy. My team get along really well. Very rare for promotion or raise. The computer systems are super outdated. I like the work because you get to drive every now and then and get outside, not stuck in an office all day.
Great place to start
Working at Hertz as a manager is hard work. Expect long hours and mandatory overtime. But, if you enjoy a challenge and sales this is a great place to test if your management material. You'll work hard cleaning and renting cars almost simultaneously. Decent pay for an AS level job.
