Village Board
The Village of North Aurora has a president-trustee form of government. The Village Board of the Village of North Aurora consists of a Village President and six Village Trustees who are elected at-large for overlapping terms of four years. Elections are staggered with three trustees elected every two years.
Commissions and Committees
The Plan Commission reviews applications for zoning and development and makes recommendations to the Village Board. The North Aurora Days Committee coordinates and plans the annual North Aurora Days Event with the help of volunteers. The Police Commission has authority to appoint all patrol officers to the North Aurora Police Department.
