I see on the Flame King website that there is a recall on this product (cylinders) during certain manufacture dates with serial numbers. Are you aware of this recall and can you ensure that REIpurchasers will NOT receive one of these recalled products?

1 Sep 1017; I just ordered and received a new kit with bottle serial number 008071 which is within the recalled numbers 000001 to 020800. You have to open the box to remove the cylinder and read the number on the bottom of the bottle.

I don't purge the bottles before refilling. I have found it easiest to go by weight. Bottle should be about 1.5lbs when empty and 2.5lbs when full.
