The Dragonfly Home staff is passionate about providing care and assistance in a comfortable, cozy setting. Our goal is to create a place where human trafficking victim/survivors can experience relief and restoration in the warm, inviting setting of home.

What is a survivor at Dragonfly?

Survivor Residents will receive comprehensive care and services in a restorative home setting at The Dragonfly Home. The staff will work to make sure all Survivor Residents’ basic needs are met, as well as needs that are specific to those who have suffered the trauma of human trafficking. A few examples of those kinds of needs include:

Non-Residential Care

At the HTRRC, survivors of trafficking can get help in a welcoming and comfortable place. Our therapy rooms feel more like living rooms where you can relax on the couch with a soft blanket and grab a drink and a snack! We are passionate about listening so that each person’s unique needs are met and goals are achieved.

The Dragonfly Home is dedicated to helping victim/survivors of human trafficking with anything they need and whatever goals they want to pursue! We provide services at the HTRRC and through our network of trusted community partners who want to help. We can provide and/or connect victim/survivors to the following services*:

Mission and Vision Statement

The Dragonfly Home exists because we believe that every victim-survivor of human trafficking deserves freedom and the opportunity to pursue a new life. We walk alongside these courageous and resilient individuals to provide whatever they need on their path to independence and restoration.

History

The Dragonfly Home was founded in March 2016 and received certification from the Oklahoma Office of the Attorney General in November 2016.

Co-Founder & Executive Director

Called out of a successful career in the corporate world, Whitney has worked full time providing direct care to human trafficking victim/survivors and anti-human trafficking advocacy since 2012. Whitney has witnessed firsthand the need for increased services for human trafficking victims outside of the residential setting.

Co-Founder & Program Director

With an extensive background in serving health care and human service organizations, our Program Director and Co-Founder brings to The Dragonfly Home three years of experience as Program Director for an OKC-based residential program for adult women survivors of sex trafficking.
