Your wait to pay if you are lucky will only be 15-20 minutes, and then your wait to pick up will be another 20-30 minutes.
Is lunchtime a bargain?
At lunchtime, the lines can be long. The prices are not a bargain but not outrageous either (okay with a few exceptions). Serving sizes are small-to-average. (Eat a big breakfast and leave hungry.) The shops abound and you can get darn near anything 1500s England themed, but expect to pay handsomely.
Is there seating in the armored joust?
The armored joust is probably the biggest attraction. There is no seating except the grass, which can be muddy . The PA system does not work well enough to hear anything the actors are saying, and they do go on and on for some time before there is any actual jousting.

Many Fair attendees come in costume ("garb"), and booths inside the grounds offer garb for sale or rent. Renaissance, fantasy, pirate, and steampunk are favorite themes. In 2008, for the first time, peace-tied period weapons were permitted.
