What hours is DMV open?
There are currently no notices. encountered a problem... Walk-in service is now available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays (in offices with Saturday hours). Prefer appointments? Schedule one for appointment-only days on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
What time does SC DMV open?
The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles (SCDMV) remains open, but the agency is adjusting hours of operation at select branches beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020. These reductions result from staffing limitations and the agency's commitment to enforcing social distancing recommendations in our branch offices.
How to change your address with South Carolina DMV?
- Complete the Application for Name and/or Address Change (SCDMV Form 4057)
- Complete the Application for a Driver's License, Beginner's Permit, or Identification Card (SCDMV Form 447-NC)
- Present proper documentation
When will the SCDMV offices open?
Starting July 14, these SCDMV offices will open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. two Saturdays a month: No Saturday offices will open July 7. Most typically, the above offices will open on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. This may change depending on the month’s holiday schedule.
How many South Carolinians have a real ID?
To date, more than 254,000 South Carolinians have purchased or switched to a REAL ID since the SCDMV started issuing them on February 20. As of July 1, 2018, there were more than 3.8 million licensed drivers in the state and more than 550,000 ID card holders.
