Simethicone is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to simethicone or any component of the inactive ingredients. Studies have not been conducted to determine if simethicone is excreted in human milk.

Unlike many types of medication, simethicone has virtually no side effects and is safe for pregnant mothers, nursing mothers and infants. Simethicone is most often used as a short-term gas relief treatment. If you need a long-term gas relief solution, talk to your doctor about whether continuing to use simethicone is right for you.
