I have tried several fuel injector cleaners. I no longer believe in them. If you use brand name fuel, I would stay away from them altogether. If you do insist on using one, remember 2 important facts that even Chevron will tell you when asked about their Techron fuel injector cleaner which in opinion DOES WORK.

I no longer do any preventative maintenance (adding bottles of cleaner) to keep all my cars & bike injectors clean. I learned my lesson with that stuff. If I thought my injectors were dirty, I would pull them and manually clean them under pressure. I have never done it with my HD injectors but I have done it on my automotive injectors.

I gotta disagree with Hoople. Just exaclty is brand good name fuel? Just because it may say Exxon or something like that does not make it better than others. Most gas nowadays is not the quality it used to be and they break down and start to create gum and varnish quickly. That is why I use SeaFoam regularly on carb and FI bikes.
