Are dogs allowed at Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival?
Animals/Pets: Service animals are permitted in the Renaissance Pleasure Faire. All other animals and pets are prohibited. Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness and under the control of the owner at all times.
What time does the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival start?
The 2021 Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival is open Saturdays and Sundays only, September 4 through October 10, 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Festival is open rain or shine in the Gateway to the Laurel Highlands, just thirty miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
What do you wear to a Renaissance fair?
To look authentic you need something upon your head. For women, you'll want a headdress, wreath or bonnet. If you don't have one, you can always buy one at the fair. For men, headwear includes muffin caps, flat caps, felt hats, and straw hats.

Chuck RomitoIn a 1998 interview, the owner, Chuck Romito, revealed that "Gross sales for wine purchases and tickets for shows at the Mount Hope Estates--including Christmas, Halloween, Roaring '20s and other theme performances--hover around $4 million," while the faire's expenses were about $2 million.
Do you have to dress up to go to a Renaissance fair?
It's totally not necessary to dress up at all. Also know that you can if you want to, and that you don't have to go all out or be period-accurate. The most important thing is to be comfortable and dressed for the weather (which, since our faire runs in July, can be HOT).
How do Renaissance festivals work?
In a modern Renaissance festival, there are stages or performance areas set up for scheduled shows, such as plays in Shakespearean or commedia dell'arte tradition, as well as anachronistic audience participation comedy routines. Other performances include dancers, magicians, musicians, jugglers, and singers.
Can you bring water into Bristol Renaissance Faire?
