Perfect
I have wanted this size (it seems like) forever, and I finally splurged and bought it for myself. I used it all Christmas (14 people), from baking to pouring pancake batter, and it was great. I should have bought it sooner. I put glass in dishwasher but hand wash the red lid.
Great as a mixing bowl
Love how easy the lettering is to see and read. Hoping to use as a mixing bowl and bread proofing bowl because of the lid, though haven’t tried the latter yet. The lid warped slightly even though I had placed it in the top rack of the dishwasher. I don’t think it affected the seal, though, but will hand wash in the future.
Just what I needed
The Pyrex large cup with lid is sturdy, holds enough liquid for larger recipes like broth for soup, and won't crack like plastic cups.

Our old 8-cupper was accidentally broken and we have to have one for what we prepare in our kitchen. Pyrex is the only brand for glass measuring cups!

Corelle Brands LLC promises to replace any Pyrex glass product that breaks from oven heat, and any Pyrex non-glass accessory item with a manufacturing defect, within TWO YEARS from the date of purchase.
How to keep glassware from getting hot?
Of course glassware gets extremely hot in both conventional and microwave ovens, so use protective pot-holders to handle heated glass--don’t ever touch the hot glass with your bare hands, or allow it to come into contact with your body. Keep hot glass well out of children’s reach.
Why does glass break?
Uneven heating, direct contact with heating elements, and sudden temperature changes (hot glassware coming in contact with something cool or wet, or cold glassware coming in contact with something very hot) can cause glass to shatter or break. To avoid this, follow these precautions:
What to do before putting pyrex in oven?
Before cooking items that may release liquid (including fat, food juices, or moisture from frozen foods) in your Pyrex® glassware, add a small amount of liquid to cover the bottom of the dish before you put it in the oven.
Why do you not add liquid to Pyrex?
This serves to minimize any potential sudden temperature change that may occur as the food releases liquid. Once a Pyrex® dish is already hot, do not add liquid to it (for example, by basting with liquid not already in the dish).
Can you put pyrex lids in a convection oven?
Pyrex® lids cannot be placed in conventional or convection ovens (because they’ll melt), unless specifically noted on the package that they are designed for oven use (as with Pyrex® Ultimate Storage silicone and glass lids). Pyrex® glassware and lids are dishwasher safe, making cleanup easy and carefree.

Love this measuring cup, the lid is good quality and I have found Pyrex is the only measuring cup that the numbers don't rub off. This is a great size and I love that Pyrex has made the measuring cups wider and lower, so less chance of tipping over.
