What is Procheck software?
Groups Thornton Software > PROCHECK. PROCHECK checks the stereochemical quality of a protein structure, producing a number of PostScript plots analysing its overall and residue-by-residue geometry. It includes PROCHECK-NMR for checking the quality of structures solved by NMR.
How do you run Procheck?
It takes a while to run, so be patient, and pray your browser doesn't time out....To run PROCHECK:Enter the 4-letter PDB code of the protein of interest, its chain ID (if required) and its resolution.Click on RUN to run the program.Click on Reset to enter new code.
How do I run a Ramachandran plot server?
Instructions:Select a protein structure file in PDB format from your hard disk.Select Amino Acid type to show.Check the boxes for Glycine, Verbosity, and Labels as desired.Click the GO! button.
What is Verify3D?
Verify3D derives a“3D-1D” profile based on the local environment of each residue, described by the statistical preferences for the following criteria: the area of the residue that is buried, the fraction of side-chain area that is covered by polar atoms (oxygen and nitrogen), and the local secondary structure.
Temperature changes make a difference
On a very hot day, the ball loses compression and you should play a harder ball than usual. On a cold day, the ball gets harder and you should play a softer ball to get the maximum distance.
What is my swing speed?
You can get that number by visiting a pro or a golf shop equipped with a swing speed measurement device. Or you can refer to the chart on this website. The chart then shows the right number of compression bars.
Compression Varies
Even with brand new balls out of the box there is variation in compression. Each manufacturer measures compression with a laboratory device called an ATTI tester. Each manufacturing year’s run is given an ATTI number based on the average compression of a sample of balls.
Compression Changes
Today’s ball covers are so good that even old tired balls look new. Also, one summer in the trunk of a car can change compression a lot. And, that new looking ball you find in the woods may have spent the winter there and its compression has changed.
