(Technically, it's not really an arcane caster, but you receive all Bloodline benefits from the sorceror class). But you can still load a touch range attack into the Scythe with Spellstrike.

Who is the scythe tree?
The Scythe Tree was once the dryad queen known as Callitropsia. Callitropsia used to rule the area around the Swamp Witch's Hut, and eventually fell in love with Nyta Colton, the daughter of the local village's headman, Wilber Colton.
What creature did the Dryad kill?
When the curse took hold, the dryad was transformed into the creature now known as the Scythe Tree, and she proceeded to kill Nyta, whose body was whisked away by other fey and remains in a state of gentle repose to this day.
