Hey folks, new to the subreddit here. Wanted to see if anyone was open to sharing the dumbest PC death (s) they've encountered. To kick it off, here's a couple of my personal favorites from around our table:
PC Death and Venting
Fairly experienced player here, though new to posting. Please go easy. Approximately a week ago, I find myself playing with my group of two years, facing down a foreshadowed and intimidating villain. (Not BBEG, but still). There are six of us, all level 8, and the big guy, a wizard we’ll call Chad.
Do you describe DR differently than AC?
A while ago, a GM and I had a disagreement on how to describe a monster's DR. He said, that a player understanding weather an attack was ineffective due to AC, or DR was metagaming, and players need to learn about monsters by making knowledge checks. I said that players should be able to learn about monsters in the middle of combat.
