Is Ooma a good phone service?
You can forward calls to an Android phone or iPhone. Ooma's app is quite good and much more reliable than some other VoIP companions apps I've tried, such as the Invoxia Voice Bridge and MagicJack.

Why is Ooma not working?
Verify that your Internet connection is functioning properly. Try rebooting your modem, router and/or Ooma Telo Base Station or Phone Genie to see if the network connection recovers.
Why does Ooma go offline?
The Ooma device will be offline if there is an issue with the internet connection. For example, if the WIFI or Ethernet cable connection is disconnected or if you are experiencing issues with your ISP.

How do I reboot my Ooma?
To reset the Ooma Telo Router, hold the reset button on the device with a paper clip until the lights blink. This shouldn't take more than around 10 seconds of depressing the button to complete. Upon successfully connecting and logging in, the Ooma Telo Router may need a few minutes to download software updates.

How does Ooma make their money?

How do I update Ooma firmware?
If your Ooma device is connected Modem-Ooma-Router, access your Ooma Setup pages by typing http://172.27.35.1 in your computer browser window. The Ooma Setup pages open. Click on Internet, go down to INTERNET Port MAC Address: and change setting from Automatic to Use Built In. Click on Update device.
How do I reconnect my Ooma?
Ensure that your Ooma Wireless + Bluetooth Adapter is plugged in all the way. Remove your adapter, reboot your Telo Base Station, and then re-insert the adapter. Move the Telo Base Station closer to your router or wireless access point to make sure it is not out of range.

Re: restart sequence after a power outage My cable modem, Ooma Hub, and router (which are connected in that sequence) are all plugged into the same power strip. To restart everything, I just kill the power strip, wait 5-10 seconds, and turn the power strip back on.
