Premise
Velan ( Mammootty) leads a double life with his family in Palani. He ran away from his hometown in Kerala following a ruckus that resulted in a murder. But, now the past comes back to confront his new-found life.
Production
On 7 November 2021, Lijo Jose Pellissery officially announced the film by sharing the title through social media. Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is the first-time collaboration between Mammootty and Lijo Jose Pellissery. The films also marks reunion of actors, Mammootty and Ashokan on the screen after 30 years.
