FocusWriter is one of those applications for writers that want to see nothing but the document and only the document they are working on without all the clutter of toolbars and status bars.

yWriter

Last on the list, but certainly not least is yWriter. yWriter is another completely free application that is primarily geared toward novel writing.

Conclusion

All of the applications I’ve listed are free to install and use and all are of decent if not excellent quality. My personal favorites on the list are Typora and LibreOffice Writer. These two are of excellent quality, have a good number of features, and fit my workflow when working on Windows PCs.
