How many performers are there at the Renaissance Festival?

In any other setting, it may sound less than ideal to meander the woods with beggars, hermits, wenches, pick pockets, rakes, and rogues, but at the Renaissance Festival, these are just some of the 200+ professional performers you’ll pleasantly encounter. With the Royal Court, 10 performance stages, and impromptu street acts, you may also find yourself in the presence of royalty, valiant knights, magicians, minstrels, and jesters. If you too want to join in the fun, dress in costume for an instant way to get in the spirit of frivolity!

Kids can throw stars, or shoot with the bow and arrow, or do hundred other fun things that cost a few dollars each. One can just sit and do people watching - that would be fun enough but the Maryland Renaissance Festival is much more.

What is the Renaissance Festival?

The Renaissance Festival is a cute event that happens yearly and lasts around 3 months in the Fall season. All of the stalls and certainly most of the festival vendors/workers have tons of character! Attendees also have fun with the theme of the event in their own costumes (which range from intricate period ware to the fantastical!). The festival grounds are rather large, and they certainly have a lot to see and perhaps challenges to take part in.#N#The best thing I can say is that the food isn't overpriced! Very worthwhile prices, especially when another event would definitely overcharge you for even water. The food and alcohol prices were very appreciated.#N#Definitely lots of cool stuff on sale here, so the shops are definitely something to visit. They carry things from big ticket items (that cost in the thousands) to things that are much much cheaper.#N#Would definitely recommend if you haven't been before or if this kind of stuff is already up your alley.
