Easy and fun work place

It was a good job for a high school student or recent high school graduate. Very easy, worked with your schedule, 30 mins lunches,

Retail at its lowest

I worked as a supervisor in this Party City store. And it was hands down one of the worst job experiences of my life. The job itself was fairly easy. Didn’t require much effort. But the management is what wore me out. Nobody wants to work with a lazy, condescending, inconsiderate boss that doesn’t care enough to do her own job.

A great work environment with the right people around you. Definitely cheerful and enjoyable with the right company and customers

Great place 4 working if you are a people person. Highly recommend looking for the right team to work with and definitely have an energetic attitude.

It was good as a high school job

Seasonal job. They fire you once Halloween is over. I had fun working with some of my friends but that was mainly it. Breaks are only 30 minutes and you only there temporarily.

Good Job, Bad Management

I’ve been working for 9 months and a management position opened and rather than offering the job to someone who had plenty of experience I was given excuses and not promoted. Beyond that the job itself as a sales associate is easy and fun even, just one of my managers was extremely unwelcoming and ultimately the reason I’m choosing to quit.

I love it

I never had an issue working here. They worked around my schedule and pay was okay. I love blowing up balloons and dealing with customers. Good for a first time job.

Somewhat flexible, management is clueless

Management has no idea how to run a store probably because they rarely visit the stores.. hours get cut constantly with short notice because they can’t accurately predict sales. Their systems and applications are equivalent to something you would use 10-20 years ago.. every new update creates 3 new problems.

Pretty fun environment Great ability to interact with people Corporate is fine, at least when it comes to everyone above RMs

Overwhelming

You cannot finish a task before there are 15 more to do. Never enough hours for employees but nobody understands why nothing gets done in a timely manner. It's very difficult to do resets when there's 2 people working.

Party City Specialists

Fun and full of creativity opportunities. Good starter job or job after you’ve got your feet wet in the workforce. Rarely a dull day.

Seasonal

Good place to work at off times in high school. Very open to give eager students a chance to experience the responsibilities of having a job.

Toxic in 2013

poor management but company has since changed with CTC acquisition. something i wish i was mindful of was how harmful blowing up balloons were to my hearing. it wasnt until years later, after i left the company, that i was able to recognize the damage caused. the company provided 0 safety measures or consideration for their staff.

it was great

It's good for teenagers to have a first-time job.it is fast-paced, there are a lot of products to review and you need to know how to blow up balloons. safety training is key.

nope

management was terrible and had no care for their employees. when it comes to your mental health they could not care less and just force you to quit instead of firing you!

Fun workplace

Good place to work! The pay is good when you’re full time, the team is fun to work with and overall a really good experience! Very flexible schedule even when you’re full time which can be very helpful for certain individuals too.

Its ok I guess

Sometimes you get the feeling that the managers are judging you, at times they can be very nice and other times while speaking to you they can raise their tone of voice a little bit and sound rude in a situation where it is uncalled for. Its understandable to have off days but for me, they had a little too many.

Productive, flexible, fun environment to work at

Great environment to work at, flexible with hours for the most part (really accommodating especially to those in school), and fun environment with other coworkers. They make working there so much better.

Fun workplace, not enough hours

It was a very fun and happy environment to work in but I was hired for part time expecting maybe 20 hours a week & was only given 5 to 10 hours each week. I was also not told that it would be seasonal so my job was not promised for more than 3 months.

Fast pace low pay

Discount was good. Very quick. Halloween was very busy so the day went by fast. Their system was well updated and easy to use.

Seasonal

Good place to work at off times in high school. Very open to give eager students a chance to experience the responsibilities of having a job.
