Braum’s is known for its milk brought to you by our very own private dairy herd on our farm. It’s the closest that you can get to farm fresh milk without owning a cow. Braum’s milk is nutritious, delicious and doesn’t have the many concerning additives that you may find in grocery store brands.

How long does raw milk take to get to Braum’s?
Most companies buy raw milk from outside sources so that by the time the raw milk is delivered for processing, it’s already several days old. At Braum’s, it may take only 36 hours to get the milk from the cow to your neighborhood Braum’s store. It doesn’t get any better than that!
What kind of milk does Braums have?

Braum's Cows The herd in Follett is completely A2 and the herd in Tuttle is mostly A2. We genetically test our A2 dairy herd for the A2 gene to ensure you are only getting A2 fresh milk with no A1. We milk each herd separately and keep them apart. Some of the Tuttle herd still produce the A1 and A2 protein.
Is Braums milk pasteurized?
The Federal Government has set the legal pasteurization time and temperature as 161.5 degrees for 15 seconds. At Braum's, we go one step further by heating our milk well above these standards for a longer period of time to assure that it is free of bacteria and of the highest quality.

In fact, 800 cows are milked in an allotment of 32 minutes. Incredibly, 30,000 pounds of milk is produced in one hour. Each cow is milked twice a day and gives roughly 100 glasses of milk. When combined, the Braum dairy herd fills over 1 million glasses daily.
