Efectos secundarios
Los principales efectos secundarios de Imodium son cansancio, somnolencia, pérdida del estado de alerta (por consiguiente, la conducción de vehículos durante el tratamiento es desaconsejada), náuseas, vértigos y vómitos. El paciente puede también tener boca seca, flatulencias y abdomen distendido.
Modo de administración y posología
La cápsula debe tragarse con un poco de agua. La posología acostumbrada en caso de diarrea aguda en el adulto es de 2 cápsulas al día, más una cápsula después de cada deposición diarreica con un límite máximo de 8 cápsulas al día.
