Did Manny reveal to Ellie and Peaches what happened to his original family prior to the events of Collision Course?

After watching the argument between Manny and Peaches in Continetal Drift, I think it's more than likely that Manny told Ellie and Peaches that he had a family of his own until they were killed by humans sometime before Collision Course happened, which is why he was overprotective of Peaches in that film, and especially considering that Peaches was old enough to know the truth at the time.
