the sensor is in behind the nosecone. but this should not effect the ac system . it would it the inside temp sender said that in the auto mode only. put it in defrost mode and the compressor should be on if not you have another problem (maybe low on freon)

SOURCE: fuel gauge, temp gauge, and auto door locks stopped working while in transit. checked obvious fuses, found no problems. did not check all fuses. Ideas

Two possible problems.... the temp gauge wire is a single green wire attatched to the driver's side head (no1 bank) near the front in the side (in front of plug #1) ground it and your gauge should go to full hot,,, same with the fuel gauge, if you unplug it at the tank it should go to empty, or visa versa...

Sounds like the thermostat needs to be replaced. If you do the work yourself be sure the temp threshold is correct and the flow direction is correct when installed. Good luck to you
