Instructions
Since the filter is located on the interior floor of the dishwasher, it is easier to locate and remove if you take out the bottom rack of the dishwasher. Most manual filters are round, twist-lock into place, and often have arrows indicating which way to turn the cylinder to remove it.
Tips to Help Keep Your Dishwasher Filter Clean
Scrape away excess food from the dishes before you load them into the dishwasher.
Step 1: Remove your filter
To access your dishwasher filter, remove your lower dish rack to expose the bottom of your dishwasher. The filter can be found in either a back corner of the dishwasher tub or around the base of the bottom spray arm.
Step 3: Replace your filter
Return the lower filter to the bottom of the dishwasher tub, placing it properly under the tabs so the upper filter will line up with the round opening in the bottom of the tub.

STEP 2: REMOVE YOUR DISHWASHER FILTER
Give the upper filter a quarter turn counterclockwise and take it out. Next, grab the lower filter, lifting it slightly, then pulling it forward to take it out as well.
Step 3: Clean your dishwasher filter
Rinsing your filter under the faucet will remove most soils and debris. If food particles don’t rinse off easily, soak the filter in warm water for a few minutes. Calcium deposits or other stuck-on bits might require gentle scrubbing with a soft brush, sponge or an old toothbrush to get clean.
